PartnerView Insights, the rule-based suggestion pane, surfacing real project risks.
Overview

How Risk Management works.

A senior PM who has seen a hundred projects can spot trouble three weeks early from the texture of a status meeting. A junior PM running their fifth project can miss the same signals until the client escalates. PartnerView treats risk surfacing as a system: structured risks and issues with a real severity matrix, plus a rule-based suggestion engine called PartnerView Insights that runs seven rules on live project state and surfaces what a senior PM would notice. The signals are explicit, not vibes.

Where it breaks today

The specific problems Risk Management solves.

01

Senior PMs spot a sliding project, junior PMs miss it for weeks.

The signals are real but unwritten. New PMs learn them the slow way, one failed project at a time.

02

Risks age in place with no escalation.

A risk gets logged, marked medium severity, then nothing happens for sixty days. Nobody re-evaluates. Nobody escalates. The risk eventually fires.

03

Leadership finds out about trouble last.

The PM knows by week three. The practice lead knows by week six. The CEO finds out at QBR. By then the project is past intervention.

Compare

How a risk register spreadsheet compares to PartnerView.

A risk register spreadsheet PartnerView
Risk capture A register someone remembers to update. Risks and issues with a severity matrix feeding the project health score.
Trouble detection Senior PMs spot trouble. Junior PMs miss it for weeks. Seven rules running on real project state, surfacing trouble automatically.
Aging risks High-severity risks age in place. Rules flag risks open too long, sponsors disengaged, phases off schedule.
Leadership visibility Leadership finds out about trouble last. Project health visible in the portfolio, worst-first.
What PartnerView does

The capabilities.

Risks and issues with a real severity matrix.

Likelihood times impact, computed automatically. Mitigation plans, owners, and statuses. Not a free-text comment field.

PartnerView Insights as a rule-based suggestion engine.

Seven rules running on live project state, surfacing what a senior PM would notice on a walk-through. Rule-based, not AI.

Project health visible at every level.

The health score rolls up from risk and issue severity, surfaces on the project record, and feeds the portfolio view.

Status reports that surface real signal.

Recent risks and issues feed into the auto-populated status report. The client sees the truth.

Closeout risks link to escalation action items.

Risks captured at project closeout can link to escalation action items so post-mortem follow-up is not duplicated across the closeout record and the escalation record.

Full capability set

Everything in Risk Management.

Risks and issues

Structured risk capture with a severity matrix that actually drives decisions.

  • Risks with category, likelihood, and impact
  • Severity auto-computed from likelihood times impact
  • Mitigation plan, owner, status
  • Issues with severity, resolution, owner, status
  • Risk and issue severity feeds the project health score

PartnerView Insights

Rule-based suggestions that surface what a senior PM would notice. Not AI, just rules running on live project state.

  • Rule-based suggestion pane on project pages
  • Seven rules running on real project state
  • Rule: task blocked over five days
  • Rule: phase past planned end
  • Rule: budget variance over twenty percent
  • Rule: no status report in fourteen days
  • Rule: high-severity risk open over thirty days
  • Rule: task without owner
  • Rule: sales sponsor disengaged thirty or more days
  • Each suggestion dismissable; dismissals persist per project

Health visibility

Project health visible from the task level to the portfolio level.

  • Project health score derived from risks and issues
  • Status report surfacing of recent risks and issues
  • Health score visible on project record, in portfolio view, and in client-facing reports
  • Trend visibility, not just current state

Escalations as first-class records

Escalations carry their own state machine and post-mortem, separate from comments and chatter. The dedicated home is the Escalations page.

  • Anchor an escalation to any lead, deal, project, or task
  • Five-state workflow: open, acknowledged, in_progress, resolved, closed
  • Reopen-from-closed requires a written reason; every transition writes an append-only audit row
  • Structured post-mortem closeout with required root cause and resolution
  • Action items captured at closeout, linkable to projects and tasks so the work owner sees the context
  • Closeout lock state; admin unlock requires a written reason and writes an audit row
